Sometimes when I watch the news or read a blog, I feel like the world has too quickly forgotten how to negotiate and compromise. Maybe it’s been too long since the last world war, the non – lethal nature of most culture wars (mainly fought on social media) or just the fact that we’re just aggressive lil monkeys who get a thrill out of conflict and the sweet taste of victory.
We are too quick to assume that our personal point of view is the correct, normal and even moral one that even the smallest disagreements now are blown to such big controversies.
The fact that there can be more than one correct answer to an issue demands that we take a step back and learn to negotiate because in my opinion if we don’t, everything we currently enjoy will be lost/destroyed.
